I think there is another piece too, to Education 2.0.  And that's collaboration, or peer to peer learning.  For, just as the teacher-student role can act as a transfer and sharing of knowledge, so too can a student (or learner) to student model work as well.  New connected, collaborative technologies can really enable and amplify these sharings of knowledge, and they too would be "digitized, decentralized, self-directed, asynchronous, and at-a-distance" (and in person if needed).</description>
