New video about Wikipedia & Web 2.0

  2. I saw the film on Dutch internet television [Larry with subtitles :-) ] and heard lots of talk about participation and social interaction. What I missed is the observation that most Web 2.0 contributors consider their anonimity (use of nickname) one of their basic human rights. I was raised with the (now apparently obsolete) norm that anonymous letters and phone calls are indecent. How Web 2.0 has changed that! You can read on Wikipedia’s discussion pages lively social interactions between nicknamed persons, who may well be 180 degrees different from their WP user descriptions, and nobody seems to care.
