		<description>it is very interesting, Dr. Larry - I read all of it. What you say is true. It's much better for something like an encyclopedia that compiles/organizes works based on previously existing literature to take the wiki model than it is for scientists. 

In fact, such an open environment will have reverse effect in terms of motivating and attracting contributors. Scientists want to take credit for their work so that they build up their names &#38; get grants &#38; keep their positions in research projects. Many scientists don't find jobs or are dissatisfied b/c they're stuck in low level positions "i.e. research assistant". So how can they have time to participate in a wiki &#38; write for free without taking much credit (or allowing other ppl to 'steal' your efforts)?</description>
